
The establishment of commercial maritime, fluvial and ground routes favors the arrival of a great variety of products to the different participating regions within commercial exchange. The possession of some of the mentioned products would provide the mercantile classes a feasible means to act as value for other goods. Products like cacao, exotic bird feathers, obsidian, salt, shells, ceramic and jade were so appreciated by the elite governors that its acceptance was generalized in the majority of participating regions in the dynamics of commercialization.
